ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 5 -- United States Patent no. 12,279,186, issued on April 15, was assigned to T-Mobile USA Inc. (Bellevue, Wash.).

"Caller identifier" was invented by Parag Garg (Woodinville, Wash.), Derrick Ives (North Bend, Wash.) and Michele Lundahl (Yarrow Point, Wash.).
