ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 4 -- United States Patent no. 12,324,011, issued on June 3, was assigned to T-Mobile Innovations LLC (Overland Park, Kan.).
"Limiting uplink noise by adjusting MIMO transmission layers" was invented by Sreekar Marupaduga (Overland Park, Kan.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Dynamically limiting MIMO transmission layers assigned to wireless devices to mitigate uplink noise levels measured at an access node (e.g. RSSI). The transmission layers can be adjusted based on a device capability or power class. For example, maximum MIMO transmission layers assigned to HPUEs can be reduced first."
The patent was filed on Feb. 28, 2024, under Application No. 18/589,572.
