ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 3 -- United States Patent no. 12,346,901, issued on July 1, was assigned to T-Mobile Innovations LLC (Overland Park, Kan.).

"Mobile communication device in-kind payment verification" was invented by Mark R. Bales (Lee's Summit, Mo.), Craig A. Lee (Overland Park, Kan.), Alberto Lorente (Kansas City, Mo.) and Lyle W. Paczkowski (Mission Hills, Kan.).
