ALEXANDRIA, Va., Aug. 6 -- United States Patent no. 12,382,379, issued on Aug. 5, was assigned to T-MOBILE INNOVATIONS LLC (Overland Park, Kan.).

"Network exposure function (NEF) slice in a wireless communication network" was invented by Marouane Balmakhtar (Fairfax, Va.), Gregory David Schumacher (Holliston, Mass.) and Geoffrey Todd Gibson (Rowlett, Texas).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A wireless communication network serves a Network Exposure Function (NEF) slice to User Equipment (UE).
