ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 10 -- United States Patent no. 12,411,103, issued on Sept. 9, was assigned to SYSMEX Corp. (Kobe, Japan).

"Electrode, method for manufacturing electrode, ion sensor, in-vivo component measuring device, and in-vivo component measuring method" was invented by Kenichi Uchiyama (Kobe, Japan) and Junko Kojima (Kobe, Japan).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "An electrode with higher potential stability for repeated use and/or long-term use in an ion sensor is provided. The electrode includes an internal solid layer containing a metal oxide and a solid electrolyte and an electrode material."
