ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 30 -- United States Patent no. PP36,990, issued on Sept. 30, was assigned to Syngenta Crop Protection AG (Basel, Switzerland).
"Chrysanthemum plant named 'CIFZ0118'" was invented by Mark A. Smith (Alva, Fla.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A new garden type Chrysanthemum plant named 'CLPZ0118' particularly distinguished by its medium size plant with round plant habit, a medium to large size duplex to decorative flower with dark lavender flower color, and a natural season response in late August/early September."
The patent was filed on Feb. 6, 2025, under Application No. 18/831,473.
