ALEXANDRIA, Va., Nov. 6 -- United States Patent no. 12,462,709, issued on Nov. 4, was assigned to SYNDAVER LABS INC. (Tampa, Fla.).

"Artificial canine model" was invented by Christopher Sakezles (Tampa, Fla.) and David Danielson (Tampa, Fla.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Disclosed herein are anatomic models that comprise components that simulate canine components. The models may be used for development, experimentation, or training in the field of orthopedic surgical devices, and/or implant devices. The models may also be used for training of students in the veterinarian field for procedures performed in practice."

The patent was filed on Aug. 15, 2022, under Application No. 17/888,210.
