ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 25 -- United States Patent no. 12,340,767, issued on June 24, was assigned to Synaptics Inc. (San Jose, Calif.).

"Local dimming for display devices with image warping function" was invented by Masao Orio (Tokyo), Takashi Nose (Kanagawa, Japan), Hirobumi Furihata (Tokyo), Tomoo Minaki (Tokyo) and Kazutoshi Aogaki (Kanagawa, Japan).
