ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 25 -- United States Patent no. 12,338,740, issued on June 24, was assigned to Sustainable Energy Solutions Inc. (Ball Ground, Ga.).

"Carbon capture system and method with recuperative power recovery" was invented by Larry Baxter (Orem, Utah).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Methods and systems for recuperating power from a pressurized fluid stream of a carbon capture system are disclosed. A compressor pressurizes the carbon dioxide containing feed fluid and passes this fluid stream through a carbon capture process. The pressurized stream is expanded across a turbine where power is recovered."
