ALEXANDRIA, Va., Feb. 3 -- United States Patent no. PP37,240, issued on Feb. 3, was assigned to Sunview Vineyards of California Inc. (Delano, Calif.).
"Grapevine plant named 'SV35-5-61'" was invented by Timothy F. Bourne (Visalia, Calif.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A new and distinct variety of grapevine plant named 'SV35-5-61' particularly characterized by its black colored, ovate shaped seedless berries that have a fruity flavor and which ripen in early July in the McFarland, California area."
The patent was filed on July 22, 2025, under Application No. 18/831,685.
