ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 30 -- United States Patent no. 12,428,570, issued on Sept. 30, was assigned to Sun Chemical Corp. (Parsippany, N.J.).
"Water-based inks for thermoforming applications" was invented by Alexander Lahr (Rock Hill, S.C.) and Bruce Marshall (Fort Mill, S.C.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The present invention provides water-based thermoformable printing inks and coatings. The inks and coatings of the invention comprise one or more acrylic emulsions, one or more styrene acrylic emulsions, an adhesion promoter, and water."
