ALEXANDRIA, Va., Oct. 8 -- United States Patent no. 12,435,230, issued on Oct. 7, was assigned to SUN CHEMICAL B.V. (Weesp, Netherlands).

"De-inkable inks with high bio-renewable content" was invented by Paul Wallace (South Normanton, Great Britain).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The present invention relates to a printing ink composition comprising one or more keratin-based pigment(s) and water, wherein the one or more keratin-based pigment(s) has an average particle size of no more than 3000 nm."

The patent was filed on Nov. 14, 2023, under Application No. 18/995,435.
