ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 9 -- United States Patent no. 12,351,726, issued on July 8, was assigned to Sun Chemical B.V. (Weesp, Netherlands).

"Thermally curable primers for digital printing" was invented by Joanne Guite (Newhey Rochdale, Great Britain) and Harvey Harpham (Newhey Rochdale, Great Britain).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Aqueous print receptive primers comprising a crosslinking agent which are cured at temperatures above 80deg C. after being overprinted via electrographic (toner) or inkjet digital printing processes."

The patent was filed on Oct. 7, 2022, under Application No. 18/565,052.
