US Patent Issued to Summit Treestands on Feb. 3 for "Convertible seat assembly" (Alabama Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Feb. 3 -- United States Patent no. 12,538,919, issued on Feb. 3, was assigned to Summit Treestands LLC (Birmingham, Ala.).

"Convertible seat assembly" was invented by Brian Malone (Birmingham, Ala.) and Jacob Alan Nelson (Birmingham, Ala.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Convertible seats that can convert a seat from a standard seating position to an elevated seating position are provided. The convertible seat includes a primary seating surface integrally formed with a secondary seating surface, where the convertible seat can move between a standard seating configuration in which the primary seating surface is generally parallel with the ground and the secondary seating surface...
