US Patent Issued to Summit Glove on Oct. 21 for "Drug resistant glove" (Canadian, American Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Oct. 28 -- United States Patent no. 12,446,639, issued on Oct. 21, was assigned to Summit Glove Inc. (Minerva, Ohio).

"Drug resistant glove" was invented by James L. Hull (Malvern, Ohio), Christopher J. Pearen (Brampton, Canada) and Ronald J. Thatcher (King City, Canada).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "An ambidextrous or hand-specific glove including a wrist region, a palm region, and a digit region. The glove is fabricated of nitrile which is resistant to toxic or corrosive substances. These substances include drugs mixed with opioids such as fentanyl and carfentanil.
