ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 17 -- United States Patent no. 12,416,541, issued on Sept. 16, was assigned to SUMITOMO WIRING SYSTEMS LTD. (Mie, Japan) and TOYOTA JIDOSHA K.K. (Toyota, Japan).
"Electric connection box" was invented by Takayuki Takeuchi (Yokkaichi, Japan), Yoshiki Yanagita (Nagakute, Japan) and Shogo Tomihira (Nisshin, Japan).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Provided is an electric connection box with which proactive measures can be taken by liquid inflow monitoring. The electric connection box includes a housing where an electronic component is mounted. The housing is provided with a detection part detecting liquid inflow."
