ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 17 -- United States Patent no. 12,418,041, issued on Sept. 16, was assigned to SUMITOMO METAL MINING Co. LTD. (Tokyo).

"Positive electrode active material for non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery and method for manufacturing the same, positive electrode mixed material paste for non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery, and non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery" was invented by Jiro Okada (Niihama, Japan), Taira Aida (Niihama, Japan) and Tetsufumi Komukai (Niihama, Japan).
