ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 30 -- United States Patent no. 12,432,851, issued on Sept. 30, was assigned to Sumitomo Electric Industries Ltd. (Osaka, Japan).

"Printed wiring board" was invented by Kenji Takahashi (Osaka, Japan), Shoichiro Sakai (Osaka, Japan) and Kou Noguchi (Osaka, Japan).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A printed wiring board includes: a base film having a main surface; a wiring disposed on the main surface; and at least one plating lead disposed on the main surface and connected to the wiring."

The patent was filed on June 22, 2022, under Application No. 18/038,008.
