ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 10 -- United States Patent no. 12,410,314, issued on Sept. 9, was assigned to Sumitomo Chemical Co. Ltd. (Tokyo).

"Resin composition and molded body" was invented by Takayuki Sugiyama (Tsukuba, Japan) and Tasuku Tamura (Tsukuba, Japan).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A resin composition comprising resin pellets comprising a first thermoplastic resin and glass fibers, and a second thermoplastic resin, in which the second thermoplastic resin has a lower flow starting temperature than the resin pellets, and a denier of the glass fibers is 500 g/1000 m or more and 3400 g/1000 m or less."

The patent was filed on April 16, 2020, under Application No. 17/633,036.
