US Patent Issued to SUMCO on May 27 for "Method of double-side polishing work, method of producing work, and double-side polishing apparatus for a work" (Japanese, Taiwanese Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 17 -- United States Patent no. 12,311,496, issued on May 27, was assigned to SUMCO Corp. (Tokyo).

"Method of double-side polishing work, method of producing work, and double-side polishing apparatus for a work" was invented by Kazushige Takaishi (Saga, Japan) and Chin Fu Tsai (Yunlin Hsien, Taiwan).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The sum of torques: the torque of the sun gear and the torque of the internal gear, and the ratio of the torques are controlled within predetermined ranges."

The patent was filed on Feb. 5, 2021, under Application No. 18/001,416.
