ALEXANDRIA, Va., Dec. 16 -- United States Patent no. 12,495,779, issued on Dec. 16, was assigned to Suede Taylors (San Antonio).
"Fishing lure" was invented by Michael Maurice Taylor (San Antonio).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A fishing lure designed with an internal cavity filled with a scented material and an odor release hole. The fishing lure mimics a fish, with a tail and head that move in a swimming motion. As the fishing lure moves through the water, the scent is gradually released, creating a continuous odor trail that attracts fish."
The patent was filed on Sept. 26, 2024, under Application No. 18/898,299.
