ALEXANDRIA, Va., Jan. 29 -- United States Patent no. 12,208,174, issued on Jan. 28, was assigned to Stryker Corp. (Portage, Mich.).

"Sterilization container capable of providing an indication regarding whether or not surgical instruments sterilized in the container were properly sterilized" was invented by Bruce D. Henniges (Galesburg, Mich.), Robert W. Childers (Trinity, Fla.) and Erik Vaclav Chmelar (Midland, Mich.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A sterilization system comprising a sterilization container for holding a surgical instrument, the sterilization container formed to allow sterilant to enter and residual sterilant to exit so that the surgical instrument in the sterilization contain...
