ALEXANDRIA, Va., Feb. 19 -- United States Patent no. 12,226,273, issued on Feb. 18, was assigned to STOMA VENTURES LLC (Chesterfield, Mo.).

"Disposable dental aerosol device" was invented by Charles Thomas (Vero Beach, Fla.), Edward Arguello (Weston, Fla.) and Jim Langeloh (Naples, Fla.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A disposable dental aerosol device has a body having an exterior surface, a front end having an angled opening having a retraction lip portion, a rear end having an opening, and a lumen formed between the front end and the rear end, and a pressure relief opening formed in the exterior surface of the body."

The patent was filed on Oct. 6, 2020, under Application No. 17/064,484. ...
