ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 30 -- United States Patent no. 12,376,394, issued on July 29, was assigned to STMicroelectronics (Crolles 2) SAS (Crolles, France).
"Photodiode comprising a memory area" was invented by Arnaud Tournier (Grenoble, France), Boris Rodrigues Goncalves (Theys, France) and Frederic Lalanne (Bernin, France).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The present disclosure concerns a photodiode including at least one memory area, each memory area including at least two charge storage regions."
The patent was filed on Jan. 29, 2024, under Application No. 18/426,090.
