"Identification of current gain errors and resistance imbalance in feedback current-controlled synchronous motor drive systems" was invented by Prerit Pramod (Bellevue, Wash.), Krishna M P K Namburi (Auburn Hills, Mich.) and Prathima Nuli (Auburn Hills, Mich.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A method for detecting and distinguishing a current measurement gain error and a resistance imbalance in a motor drive system includes: determining a first voltage command signal, a first motor position signal, and a first quadrature-axis current command...
