ALEXANDRIA, Va., Dec. 31 -- United States Patent no. 12,507,677, issued on Dec. 30, was assigned to Stay Alive Stringer LLC (Sand Lake, Mich.).
"Fish stringer system" was invented by Matthew Donald Kendall (Sand Lake, Mich.) and Charles Mark House (Walker, Mich.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A fish stringer with a releasable connector designed to simplify and hasten the attachment and removal of a fish to a fish stringer, and even more particularly to a fish stringer that attaches to the tail portion of the fish and not the gills, fins, or mouth of the fish."
