ALEXANDRIA, Va., March 5 -- United States Patent no. 12,242,471, issued on March 4, was assigned to STATE FARM MUTUAL AUTOMOBILE INSURANCE COMPANY (Bloomington, Ill.).

"Systems and methods for automated discovery and tracking of a migration of legacy networked resources within an enterprise" was invented by Jason Zogg (Bloomington, Ill.), Lakshmi Devi Boreddy (Bloomington, Ill.), D. Michael George (Hopedale, Ill.) and Krishnamurthi Ramasamy (Bloomington, Ill.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Automated migration systems and methods are described for discovering and tracking a migration of legacy networked resources within a computer network environment. A network resource discovery application (...
