ALEXANDRIA, Va., Oct. 28 -- United States Patent no. 12,446,824, issued on Oct. 21, was assigned to Starkey Laboratories Inc. (Eden Prairie, Minn.).
"Hearing assistance device incorporating virtual audio interface for therapy guidance" was invented by Justin R. Burwinkel (Eden Prairie, Minn.), Carlos Renato Nakagawa (Eden Prairie, Minn.) and Jason A. Galster (Studio City, Calif.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A hearing assistance device adapted to be worn by a wearer comprises a processor configured to generate a sequence of audio cues that audibly guide the wearer through a series of actions involving the wearer's head and neck in accordance with a predetermined corrective or therapeutic man...
