ALEXANDRIA, Va., Oct. 28 -- United States Patent no. PP37,041, issued on Oct. 21, was assigned to Spring Meadow Nursery Inc. (Grand Haven, Mich.).

"Hibiscus plant named 'RWOODS7'" was invented by Roderick Ian Woods (King's Lynn, Great Britain).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A new and distinct cultivar of Hibiscus plant named 'RWoods7' is disclosed, characterized by pure white flowers with fully overlapping petals. Plants are highly vigorous, with excellent health. The new cultivar is a Hibiscus, suitable for ornamental garden purposes."

The patent was filed on Dec. 2, 2024, under Application No. 18/964,940.
