US Patent Issued to Spirent Commnications on Feb. 10 for "Distributed packet replay" (Massachusetts, Rhode Island Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Feb. 11 -- United States Patent no. 12,549,467, issued on Feb. 10, was assigned to Spirent Commnications Inc. (Santa Clara, Calif.).

"Distributed packet replay" was invented by Michael Haley (Marlboro, Mass.), David Theodore Mozzoni II (Warwick, R.I.) and Fanny Mlinarsky (Bolton, Mass.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The disclosed technology teaches systems and methods for high fidelity emulation of a Wi-Fi environment for testing with three or more transmitters set to differing output signal strengths.
