ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 5 -- United States Patent no. 12,275,840, issued on April 15, was assigned to SPC Sunflower Plastic Compound GmbH (Germany).

"Composite material comprising polybutylene succinate and poly(butylene succinate-co-adipate), and compostable article containing said composite material" was invented by Sebastian Meyer (Hemer, Germany) and Stephan Albers (Dinklage, Germany).
