ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 10 -- United States Patent no. 12,411,390, issued on Sept. 9, was assigned to SONY GROUP Corp. (Tokyo).

"Imaging apparatus and lens apparatus including lens sections with different angles of view" was invented by Tetsu Ogawa (Tokyo), Takumi Tsuji (Chiba, Japan) and Takashi Okazaki (Tokyo).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "An imaging apparatus according to the present technology includes an image sensor, and multiple lens sections each configured to form a subject image in a different area of the image sensor via a different wavelength filter. At least one of the multiple lens sections has an angle of view different from an angle of view of the other lens sections."
