ALEXANDRIA, Va., Nov. 25 -- United States Patent no. 12,478,120, issued on Nov. 25, was assigned to Sony Group Corp. (Tokyo).

"Sound collecting device" was invented by Hisayoshi Otaki (Tokyo) and Noriaki Fujita (Tokyo).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A sound collecting device includes: a main body including a sound collector inside of the main body, the sound collector being mounted in a gap between a helix and a temporal region, a string locking portion; and a transmitter configured to transmit sound information generated by the main body."
