ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 4 -- United States Patent no. 12,319,817, issued on June 3, was assigned to SONY GROUP Corp. (Tokyo).
"Polymeric tandem dyes with linker groups" was invented by Tracy Matray (Snohomish, Wash.) and Sharat Singh (Rancho Santa Fe, Calif.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Compounds useful as fluorescent or colored dyes are disclosed. Methods associated with preparation and use of such compounds is also provided."
