ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 12 -- United States Patent no. 12,299,030, issued on May 13, was assigned to Sonos Inc. (Goleta, Calif.).

"Transferring playback between devices" was invented by Abhishek Kumar (Hayward, Calif.), Andrew Schulert (Cambridge, Mass.), Robert Andrew Lambourne (Santa Barbara, Calif.) and Arthur L. Coburn IV (Lexington, Mass.).
