ALEXANDRIA, Va., Feb. 19 -- United States Patent no. 12,227,348, issued on Feb. 18, was assigned to SONOCO DEVELOPMENT INC. (Hartsville, S.C.).

"Resealable film" was invented by Scott William Huffer (Hartsville, S.C.) and Rod Pettis (Elgin, S.C.).
