"Nanocomposite material for energy storage devices" was invented by Andre Jansen Van Nieuwenhuizen (Gauteng, South Africa).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The invention relates to a nanocomposite material for an electrode of an energy storage device. The nanocomposite material comprises carbon nanotubes and nanoparticles of transitional metal oxides selected from a group of lanthanide oxides, incorporated in a matrix, wherein the nanocomposite material has a plurality of pores adapted to adsorb ions from an electrolyte."
