ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 18 -- United States Patent no. 12,325,774, issued on June 10, was assigned to SOLVAY SPECIALTY POLYMERS USA LLC.

"Copolymers of poly(aryl ether sulfones) and polydimethylsiloxane" was invented by Kamlesh Nair (Alpharetta, Ga.), Joel Pollino (Johns Creek, Ga.), Stephane Jeol (Saint-Genis Laval, France) and David B. Thomas (Milan).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The invention pertains to a relates to a copolymer (P1) of poly(aryl ether sulfones) (PAES) and polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) and to the process for preparing the copolymer (P1) by melt-hydrosilylation."

The patent was filed on Oct. 21, 2019, under Application No. 17/284,887.
