US Patent Issued to Solaana MD on July 1 for "Vitamin D base layer" (Massachusetts Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 3 -- United States Patent no. 12,343,421, issued on July 1, was assigned to Solaana MD LLC (Framingham, Mass.).

"Vitamin D base layer" was invented by Madeline Costello Rodriguez (Dover, Mass.) and Rosalynn Melanie Nazarian (Wellesley, Mass.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A composition of matter which promotes vitamin D absorption through a cosmetically acceptable composition formulated using fat soluble vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol) added to a cosmetically acceptable composition that comprises RBD coconut oil."

The patent was filed on Nov. 1, 2021, under Application No. 17/453,095.
