ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 30 -- United States Patent no. 12,427,633, issued on Sept. 30, was assigned to Snap-on Inc. (Kenosha, Wis.).
"Tool illumination source" was invented by Michael T. Rajzer (Kenosha, Wis.), Jason Genz (Kenosha, Wis.), Craig Brouwers (Kenosha, Wis.) and Joshua M. Beer (Kenosha, Wis.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "An illumination source disposed in a housing of a tool without the need for fasteners or snaps. The illumination source includes a number illumination elements, such as LEDs, disposed on a circuit board. A lens and the housing cooperatively direct light emitted by the illumination elements away from a user's eyes during use of the tool."
