US Patent Issued to Snap on Oct. 7 for "Dynamic media selection menu" (California Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Oct. 8 -- United States Patent no. 12,436,659, issued on Oct. 7, was assigned to Snap Inc. (Santa Monica, Calif.).

"Dynamic media selection menu" was invented by Kaveh Anvaripour (Santa Monica, Calif.), Ebony James Charlton (Los Angeles), Travis Chen (Los Angeles), Gabriel Lupin (Marina del Rey, Calif.), Celia Nicole Mourkogiannis (Los Angeles) and Kevin Dechau Tang (Los Angeles).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A dynamic media menu that comprises a media carousel to present collections of media content, and an "Augmented-Reality (AR) bar" to receive inputs to identify a media category."

The patent was filed on March 16, 2020, under Application No. 16/819,659.
