ALEXANDRIA, Va., Nov. 18 -- United States Patent no. 12,475,202, issued on Nov. 18, was assigned to SNAP INC. (Santa Monica, Calif.).
"Bending estimation as a biometric signal" was invented by Sagi Katz (Yokneam Ilit, Israel).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A method for generating reference biometric data based on a bending of a flexible device is described. In one aspect, a method includes forming training data includes bending estimates of a flexible device worn by a first user, training a model based on the training data, and generating reference biometric data for the first user based on the model."
The patent was filed on Sept. 29, 2021, under Application No. 17/489,394.
