ALEXANDRIA, Va., March 5 -- United States Patent no. 12,244,569, issued on March 4, was assigned to Snap Inc. (Santa Monica, Calif.).

"Per participant end-to-end encrypted metadata" was invented by Jason Varbedian (Seattle), Wade Spires (Santa Monica, Calif.), Benjamin Ralph Hollis (Seattle), Kyle Comer (San Francisco), Bradley Baron (Seattle), Samuel Young (Seattle) and Aleksandr Zhang (Seattle).
