ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 6 -- United States Patent no. 12,284,324, issued on April 22, was assigned to Snap Inc. (Santa Monica, Calif.).

"Augmented reality prop interactions" was invented by Tianying Chen (Pittsburgh), Timothy Chong (Kirkland, Wash.), Sven Kratz (Mercer Island, Wash.), Fannie Liu (New York), Andres Monroy-Hernandez (Seattle), Olivia Seow (Cambridge, Mass.), Yu Jiang Tham (Seattle), Rajan Vaish (Beverly Hills, Calif.) and Lei Zhang (Ann Arbor, Mich.).
