US Patent Issued to Sleep Number on Aug. 12 for "Distribution pad for a temperature control system" (Minnesota Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Aug. 12 -- United States Patent no. 12,383,070, issued on Aug. 12, was assigned to Sleep Number Corp. (Minneapolis).

"Distribution pad for a temperature control system" was invented by Vit Zaiss (Minneapolis) and Kody Karschnik (Plymouth, Minn.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "An air distribution pad comprises an upper layer, a lower layer, and a spacer material located between the upper layer and the lower layer, the spacer material configured to allow air to pass therethrough. An air distributor is configured to distribute air to the spacer material, wherein the air distributor comprises a port configured to receive an air hose, wherein the port is directed laterally sideways...
