ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 16 -- United States Patent no. 12,302,974, issued on May 20, was assigned to Sleefs LLC (Davie, Fla.).

"Bumper cover for sports helmet" was invented by Jaime Schuster (Davie, Fla.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The present invention relates to bumper covers designed to act as a logo for sports helmets. The bumper cover is a protective accessory that serves the dual purpose of safeguarding the helmet and displaying team logos or other identifying marks."

The patent was filed on July 22, 2023, under Application No. 18/225,121.
