ALEXANDRIA, Va., Dec. 2 -- United States Patent no. 12,489,411, issued on Dec. 2, was assigned to Skyworks Solutions Inc. (Irvine, Calif.).

"Hot switching spur suppression" was invented by Thomas Obkircher (Santa Ana, Calif.), Nuttapong Srirattana (Lexington, Mass.), Zijiang Yang (Lexington, Mass.) and Yi Yang (Malden, Mass.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A radio-frequency module has radio-frequency input and outputs and a radio-frequency core connected between them and configured to transition between operational states. An energy management core triggers a selected transition between two of the operational states via a sequence of transitions between the plurality of operational states."
