ALEXANDRIA, Va., April 9 -- United States Patent no. 12,273,090, issued on April 8, was assigned to Skyworks Solutions Inc. (Irvine, Calif.).
"Acoustic wave device with overtone mode" was invented by Yiliu Wang (Irvine, Calif.) and Rei Goto (Osaka, Japan).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Aspects of this disclosure relate to an acoustic wave device having an overtone mode as a main mode. The acoustic wave device is sufficiently asymmetric on opposing sides of a piezoelectric layer over an acoustic reflector such that the main mode of the acoustic wave device is the overtone mode."
The patent was filed on Jan. 20, 2022, under Application No. 17/580,004.
