ALEXANDRIA, Va., Aug. 26 -- United States Patent no. 12,398,755, issued on Aug. 26, was assigned to SKF Canada Ltd. (Scarborough, Canada).

"Analog compensation of inductive sensors" was invented by Timothy Andrew Harris (Calgary, Canada), Udell So (Calgary, Canada) and Gregory W. Smith (Calgary, Canada).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A magnetic bearing assembly having a signal conditioning circuit that includes an offset generator for adding a digitally controllable analog offset to compensate for displacement error in unbalanced inductive sensors."
