According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A hearing device, especially a hearing aid device, has a support frame which is enclosed by a housing. The housing has an upper housing shell and a lower housing shell, which are joined together at a circumferential edge and overlap to form a labyrinth seal. The support frame has an outwardly directed protrusion, which engages with the labyrinth seal."
